Why we dropped the Atomic Bomb The dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945 was a definite turning point in the Pacific War of World War II. Earlier that year, Germany had been defeated and the world then turned its attention to the Pacific war. Most history books state the argument that the dropping of the atomic bombs on Japan was necessary to stop the war in order to save thousands of lives of American troops that were planning to invade Japan. Another metaphor used is how they both â€Å"drank the pain away a little at a time† (Azlyrics.com). That part of the song is stating how they both wanted to get blackout drunk to forget all of the pain they were afflicted with. They never could quite get rid of the pain, so the only way to get relief was to end their lives. The music video of the song both plays a role in relating to the audience and showing the style of the song. The music video starts off giving background details of before he left to become a soldier. It shows them sharing an intimate moment about how they will begin their family once he returns. In the song alone it does not give that background knowledge. This introduction to the music video builds a narrative to start the beginning of their love story before the song even starts. Regular drinking at high level will lead to death; take drugs in drunkenness, increases the risk of chronic illness, could lead to traffic illness, injury and violence. There is a scene about Mulan uses her wit to defeat the Huns and to save Shangs life. He says to Mulan, You have my trust, [Mulan], the bravest man of all; it shows that Shang sees her as better than other soldiers. However, when Shang and others find out that Mulan is a woman, Shang changes his attitude and turns back on her even though she rescues him. Maybe Shang feels lost his face because a woman saves his life. The scene shows the issue of gender role in Chinese values; most men in Asian usually cant accept that women have better capability than mens. In other words, the scene also shows that even when a woman can outsmart men and be as strong and brave as they are, men still cant accept her equally. On the other hand, when Mulan discovers that the Huns didnt die and then she wants to warn Shang; however, soldiers and Shang dont listen to her warning at all, because she is a woman. The custom and law have reinforced gender roles. At the end of film, Mulan makes it to earn the emperor and other peoples respect. The scene shows that Mualn comes home and hands her father the sword of the enemy and the honor gift that the emperor gave. However, her grandmother thinks that it is better to bring a husband, even though she is successful to bring great fame to her family. It shows that women are capable of doing what men can do, and to be good daughters at home. Nevertheless, women are also expected to find ideal men with good marriage. In other words, the message of the film makes me feel that it is important for women to be yourself, to be equal to men; women still have to follow the traditional roles of being a wife and mother. The NHS provides a working and learning scheme whereby an employee’s skills can be enhanced. From the perspective of CKM there is encouraged learning through website publication as well as a vast array of information that is available from healthcare facilities. There is generally a broad commitment to all facets of healthcare, including mental and reproductive health care systems. The nature of the organization arguably makes this a relatively simple activity as there is an inherent need for reformation and a commitment to learning and sharing knowledge. At the lower levels however this becomes more important, however one could argue that this is mitigated through the strong involvement by the public and accountability methods that the NHS provides for the customer. The NHS is a very good example of effective implementation of KM and CKM concepts in a learning organization. It has been shown that through commitment by the NHS, appropriate levels of customer involvement and empowerment, and the correct approach by the industry professionals, it is possible to have a good relay of knowledge sharing and that there is a possibility of strong interaction between customer knowledge management and knowledge management at a professional or higher level. It seems that it is essential to have accountability methods in order to ensure efficacy, however one could argue that this is simply an essential of the new, modern, learning organization.
